lily/severus. the owlry. after dinner. snow flurries. Stroking the snowy owl's broad chest, Lily held out a handful of raspberries and watched the bird pick at them gently, gobbling them up. "You really are rather strange, Gem," she murmured, an amused smile on her lips. While the owl enjoyed its share of mice and other rodents, she had an affinity for fruit, Lily was finding. Gemini had brought the red head a letter from home, from her mother discussing Petunia's wedding plans. Tuney had requested, quite begrudgingly Lily was sure, that Lily be in the wedding and that there would be a dress fitting over the Christmas holiday. She'd crumpled the letter but tucked it into the pocket of her robes for later, debating whether or not to burn it in the fireplace. "What do you think, Gem?" she asked the downy creature, chuckling when the bird hooted and clipped her beak timidly in return, ruffling her feathers.
