LILY MARIE EVANS
Name: Lily Marie Evans
Nicknames/Aliases:
Age: sixteen
Date of Birth: January 30th, 1960
Blood Status: muggle-born
Hair Color: red
Eye Color: green
Physical Description:
If asked, Lily would tell you she's rather plain. Sure, her red hair makes her stick out a fair bit, but she wouldn't consider her looks attention-getting. She's very natural in appearance, face pale with a smattering of freckles. Her eyes are quite distinctive, however, a brilliant green color, and very expressive. She has a charming smile, usually in tact unless of course Potter is poking around... She's not terribly tall, standing 5'6, fairly thin and with curves proportionate for a girl of her age. As far as dress goes, she again chooses a simpler route, wearing jeans and a sweater, or a peasant skirt, something flowy. She favors greens, browns and blues as well.

General Personality:
If Lily were to be described in one word, it would be kind. Or, is it fiery. Or maybe, witty, intelligent, talented... so perhaps she's a little more complicated than that. Lily is an incredibly kind soul, befriending just about anyone. She's an optimistic individual, spotting the good in everyone and encouraging them to see it on their own. She believes everyone has the potential to be good and everyone should be given the chance.
This is not to say the girl is a pushover. Hardly. Lily is fierce and fiery, full of life and spirit. Ready with a witty come back to many of James' proposal, she proves she's quick and has a zing to her. She's got a look to her, too, the 'infamous Evans look' - arched eyebrow, pursed lips and emerald eyes staring intensely enough to burn holes. James is usually on the receiving end of said look, though Sirius has gotten it quite a few times as well. She doesn't put up with crap from anyone and from what she's seen, that's all James is full of. His (and anyone's) arrogant ways drive her mad. It makes him seem phony and as if attention is the only thing he's after. He only wants what he can't have, making his attraction to her not genuine, in her eyes.
Lily is very brave as well, as she has been sorted into gryffindor. Going along with her lack of tolerance for arrogance, she doesn't tolerate bullying either. Family is terribly important and as far as she's considered, friends are family, so when someone messes with another she cares for, you're bound to get more than 'the look' from Lily. She sticks up for her friends, mainly Severus, and is pretty scrappy for a girl. Watch out for that rare right hook...
Going along with her cleverness, Lily is a very bright young woman. She excels in almost every course, having mastered some magic at a very young age. She loves to learn and gobbles up book after book, squeezing it dry of information. A book is rarely far from her hands and she can go through a shelf in the library in two weeks time.
And however sassy, witty, clever or fierce Lily may be, there is always a sweetness to her. She has a very gentle manner about her and loves to care for things, be it plants, animals or people. Her maternal instinct drives her from time to time, and she's a very genuine honest person.

Brief History: Born to muggle parents Michael and Jane Evans, Lily was the second daughter, two years younger than Petunia. She was a very bright child, very happy. She enjoyed playing with her sister in the backyard, inventing adventure games, playing in the tree house and on the swing set. She loved to create, as well, drawing and painting with Tuney. One afternoon, after picking through her mother's garden, she stumbled upon a young boy named Severus. She'd seen him about the neighborhood, lingering near the fence out front but had never met him face to face. He was bumbly and shy but was incredibly interested in what she could do with the flowers. He gushed to her about the magic world, telling her she was a witch, and while Lily was offended at first, it all made sense. She and Severus were fast friends, best in fact, even into school.
Her relationship with her sister became strained as Lily was accepted to Hogwarts and Petunia wasn't. Her sister was jealous and their relationship wilted as Lily thrived at school. She enjoyed everything about the wizarding world, amazed and entranced with the enchantments. She did well, of course, excelling in all of her classes and continues to do well, loving every bit of school, except for those not so rare instances when Potter hovers around and asks her out repeatedly, but even that's not so bad. Occasionally entertaining...

Fate? Fate?! He was playing the fate card... well, Lily could surely stand still long enough to hear this explanation. It was a new one, unheard and she was terribly curious to see how he'd attempt to back it up. "You're never just walking about, James," she told him, folding her arms over her chest, wrinkling the crimson sweater she was wearing. "You're strutting and since Sirius is no where in sight, due to prior experiences, you're forcing me to assume you're out looking for me, hoping to drive me absolutely mad, as you seem to be a creature of habit," she explained to him, a satisfied smirk on her lips as she destroyed his fate explanation and headed for the door. "Company? Yes, company, that's why I was in here alone," she muttered, rolling her eyes.
However, the smirk washed off the moment the door shut, chair slipping from its holding place. She only stared at it in disbelief, his voice audible, but not discernible. Locked. They were now locked in... or out, whichever way you looked at it. "James," she growled, whipping around, fierce green eyes fixed on his lanky form. "You bloody fool! The chair was there for a reason!" Throwing her hands up in frustration, she started pacing, ranting to herself about her homework load and being late to class as he'd now decided that they should spend the night together freezing their bums off. "This was all some plan wasn't it?" she accused rather irrationally, a finger pointing at him before she sighed and shook her head.
"We're going to freeze," she muttered, raking a few fingers back through her red tresses, a sigh falling from her lips. He was so... irritating! She was about ready to whip her wand out and hex him with... something. Okay, so she wasn't sure what yet... but it would definitely make her feel better as well as speed time up. Self entertainment. But he started jabbering away, trying to make excuses and assure her things would be fine. She watched him carefully and the rational side of her mind slowly regained control and she relaxed slightly. He was right. They'd be alright. She'd only have to endure his company for a few hours... and she had a book. What did he have? And just as she was starting to think maybe they'd survived, he continued, telling her he'd warm her up. Snatching her wand up in a fit of rage, she aimed it at him (though she had no real intention of doing anything) and glared. "You'll what?"
